the plates do have some scratches from stacking in store and storage. The shade of the cobalt blue is a bit deeper on one plate. Not a perfect match. Not so noticeable until plates are side by side. Not sure if this is a manufacturers defect or different production run at a later date. Plates where purchased as closeups from upscale retailer eliminating their china line. Still a super value and an excellent time to add an extra piece to your service.
